As the Rail Chamber establishes its foundational presence in the industry, the following rules apply to all membership categories:
1. Membership Tenure and Renewals
Currently, all memberships are granted on an annual basis only. Members are required to renew their affiliation every year to maintain their active status, unique Member ID, and access to Chamber benefits.
2. No Long-Term or Lifetime Membership
At this stage, the Rail Chamber does not offer lifetime or long-term membership options (e.g., 5-year or 10-year plans). This ensures that our member database remains current and aligned with the evolving dynamics of the railway industry.
3. Future Membership Evolution
As a newly formed organization, the Chamber of Railway Industries (Rail Chamber) is currently in a "Learning Phase." We are committed to evolving our structures based on:
- Operational Experience: Insights gained during the initial years of functioning.
- Industry Demand: Direct feedback from our corporate and individual members.
- Global Standards: Alignment with international best practices followed by global railway chambers and associations. Based on these factors, the Governing Body may introduce long-term or lifetime membership tiers in the future.
4. Refund and Termination Policy
- Non-Refundable Fees: Once a membership is granted and the subscription fee is processed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
- Adherence to Code of Conduct: While memberships are annual, the Rail Chamber reserves the right to terminate any membership prior to its expiry if the member is found in violation of the Code of Conduct or involved in activities detrimental to the industry's reputation.
- Termination Effects: In cases of termination for misconduct, no pro-rata refund of the remaining membership term will be provided. (read code of conduct applicable to members)
