New Delhi, India (April 11, 2026): The Chamber of Railway Industries (Rail Chamber) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Lalit Chandra Trivedi, former General Manager of East Central Railway and a distinguished railway professional, as an Independent Advisor to its Advisory Board.
Mr. Trivedi brings over 38 years of rich and diverse experience in Indian Railways, having held several senior leadership positions across operations, engineering, and project execution. As General Manager of East Central Railway, he successfully led one of India’s largest railway zones, overseeing operations, infrastructure development, safety, and financial performance.
Currently serving as CEO of LCT Engineers, Mr. Trivedi is actively engaged in providing strategic advisory services across railway, infrastructure, and logistics sectors. His work spans techno-economic feasibility studies (TEV/DPR), global collaborations, technology transfer, and joint venture advisory.
Over the years, he has also contributed as an advisor and consultant to leading organisations including CRISIL (for African railway projects), Kearney (advising Vedanta Group), Dun & Bradstreet, Tata Steel, Jindal Stainless, HDFC Bank, and Texmaco Rail & Engineering. His international exposure includes supporting export of DEMU trains to Sri Lanka and Nepal, along with advisory roles in African railway initiatives.
Mr. Trivedi’s areas of expertise include railway operations, rolling stock, PPP infrastructure, logistics optimisation, manufacturing, and policy advisory. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), London, and has also served as an Independent External Monitor appointed by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). He continues to mentor railway startups and innovation ecosystems.
