New Delhi, India (April 15, 2026): The Chamber of Railway Industries (Rail Chamber) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Rakesh Gaur, a seasoned global infrastructure leader and Chief Executive at SAE Towers (a subsidiary of KEC International), as an Independent Advisor to its Advisory Board.
Mr. Gaur brings over 40 years of extensive domestic and international experience across the energy and transport sectors, with deep expertise in engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), project management, and infrastructure development. His leadership spans complex, large-scale projects across multiple geographies, including Africa, CIS, and other global markets.
An accomplished professional, Mr. Gaur has been associated with leading organisations such as ACC, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), IRCON, Siemens, ABB, and Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL), where he has played a pivotal role in driving business growth, project execution, and strategic expansion.
His expertise covers a wide spectrum of infrastructure domains, including power transmission and distribution, railway electrification, civil infrastructure, signalling, and telecommunication systems. Known for his ability to lead diverse, cross-functional, and multicultural teams, Mr. Gaur has consistently delivered complex projects from conceptualisation through execution and commissioning.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Mr. Gaur has been actively engaged in industry bodies and international forums. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the FICCI Latin America & Caribbean Council (2026) and holds key positions such as Board Member of the Indian Brazil Chamber of Commerce and Brand Ambassador for Invest Minas for railway infrastructure. He has also contributed as Co-Chairman of the CII Central Asia Committee and has been associated with various CII and FICCI committees, including the Railway Equipment Division and BRICS initiatives.
