New Delhi, India (April 14, 2026): The Chamber of Railway Industries (Rail Chamber) and the Indo British Business Forum (IBBF) have formalized a strategic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 14, 2026, in New Delhi, India.
The MoU was signed between Dr. Vinod Shah, Director General, Rail Chamber, and Mrs. Kavita Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, IBBF, marking a significant step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation in the rail and infrastructure sectors between India and the United Kingdom.
The signing ceremony was attended by distinguished industry representatives including Surya Prakash Shah, Executive Director, Urban Infra Group; Mansi Arora, Head (Membership & Events), Rail Chamber; and Rakesh Boylla, Director, Maya Goldsmith.
This strategic MoU establishes a collaborative framework to promote:
- Joint participation of UK and Indian companies in railway and infrastructure projects
- Technology transfer and knowledge exchange in advanced rail systems
- Investment facilitation and access to global funding avenues
- Trade promotion through joint events, delegations, and exhibitions
The partnership aligns with India’s ambitious railway modernization and expansion plans, while leveraging the UK’s expertise in advanced rail technologies and infrastructure development.

As an immediate outcome of this collaboration, both organizations will work closely to facilitate participation of UK companies in the 6th RailTrans Expo 2026, scheduled to be held on 3rd & 4th July 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Additionally, both sides will explore organizing a UK–India Rail Industry Roundtable in London following the successful conclusion of the Expo.
