It has come to our attention that certain individuals and entities are willfully circulating false, misleading, and malicious information on various social media platforms with the intent to defame and damage the reputation of the Chamber of Railway Industries (“Rail Chamber”).

Rail Chamber is a duly incorporated and legally recognized body established under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, with due registration under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India (CIN-U30204DL2025NPL460038, Section 8 License No. 177060), and recognition from NITI Aayog (Registration No.: DL/2025/0931597). The organization represents India’s railway industry at both national and international levels and is led by distinguished industry veterans, eminent professionals, and former senior railway officials.

The dissemination of unverified, defamatory, and malicious content against such an institution is a serious offence under applicable Indian laws. Such actions may attract strict legal consequences under, inter alia:

  • The Information Technology Act, 2000 (as amended), including provisions relating to publishing or transmitting false and defamatory content in electronic form;
  • The Indian Penal Code, 1860, including Sections 499 and 500 pertaining to defamation;
  • Other relevant provisions governing cybercrime, reputation damage, and public misinformation.

All concerned individuals are hereby formally cautioned and directed to:

  1. Immediately cease and desist from publishing, sharing, or promoting any false or defamatory content related to Rail Chamber;
  2. Remove any such content already circulated across digital or physical platforms without delay;
  3. Refrain from engaging in any activity that harms the credibility, reputation, or lawful functioning of the organization.

Failure to comply with this notice will compel Rail Chamber to initiate strict legal action, both civil and criminal, against the concerned parties without any further notice. This may include claims for damages, injunctions, and prosecution under applicable laws.

Rail Chamber remains committed to transparency, integrity, and lawful conduct. Any individual or entity seeking clarification is advised to verify facts through official communication channels before making or sharing any statements.

This notice is issued in the interest of protecting the reputation and legal rights of the organization.
