New Delhi, India (May 27, 2026): A delegation from the Chamber of Railway Industries (Rail Chamber), led by its Director General, Dr. Vinod Shah, met Shri Tokhan Sahu, Hon’ble Minister of State for Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, and formally extended an invitation to grace the official launch of India’s first Chamber of Railway Industries (Rail Chamber) and the inauguration of the 6th RailTrans Expo 2026 as the Guest of Honor.
The prestigious event is scheduled to be held on 3rd July 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, while the two-day RailTrans Expo 2026 will continue on 3–4 July 2026 bringing together stakeholders from railways, urban transportation, EPC, infrastructure, mobility, and emerging technologies.
During the meeting, Dr. Vinod Shah presented the vision, mission, and long-term objectives of the Rail Chamber, highlighting its role as India’s first unified, non-governmental apex industry body dedicated exclusively to the railway manufacturing, services, transportation, and mobility ecosystem.
Shri Tokhan Sahu appreciated the initiative and gave his in-principle consent to join the inaugural session of the landmark event. He also praised the Rail Chamber leadership for conceptualizing a unique integrated platform that brings together multiple strategic sectors under one umbrella.
Speaking during the interaction, Shri Tokhan Sahu said:
“India is rapidly transforming its transportation and infrastructure ecosystem, and such integrated industry platforms are the need of the hour. Bringing together railways, transportation, EPC, infrastructure, and semiconductor industries on a single platform will encourage greater collaboration, innovation, and productivity. Event organizers across sectors should also adopt this approach to create more meaningful and result-oriented engagements.”
The Minister further appreciated the efforts of the Rail Chamber in creating a collaborative ecosystem that can support the Government’s vision for modern infrastructure, urban mobility, and industrial growth.
Expressing gratitude for the Minister’s encouragement and support, Dr. Vinod Shah, Director General, Rail Chamber, said:

The Rail Chamber has been envisioned as a national platform to unite industry stakeholders and support India’s rapidly evolving railway and mobility ecosystem. The Rail Chamber is being launched with a vision to strengthen industry–government collaboration, encourage innovation, promote indigenization, and contribute towards India’s long-term infrastructure and mobility goals in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The 6th RailTrans Expo 2026 is expected to witness participation from senior government leaders, Railway Board officials, Metro Rail Corporations, Government PSUs, Production Units, infrastructure companies, global technology providers, EPC firms, and leading innovators from India and abroad.
